Bio

Kate earned her B.A. at the University of Minnesota in 1977 and her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1981. She practiced law for several years in St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1996 and joined the faculty at UNM that year.

Kate's research has included to work on the emergence of economic behavior in children, gender equity, environmentally responsible behavior and the economic implications of family formation.
