Soumi Roy Chowdhury
Soumi Roy Chowdhury is a fifth-year doctoral candidate at Department of Economics, University of New Mexico with primary focus on health and development economics. She is currently working on the social and economic burden of cancer patients in the context of Nepal. She is an applied researcher with experiences of conducting and supervising field research in developing countries like India and Nepal.
Originally from India, she completed her Masters (Economics) from Visva Bharati and M.Phil. (Applied Economics) from Center for Development Studies in India.
