Katherine (Katie) is a New Mexico native hailing from Tijeras. She earned her BA and MA from UNM in 2016 and 2018, respectively. She is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Research Scholar and a UNM Center for Social Policy Doctoral Fellow. Her research interests are in health economics, including food insecurity, Latinx and LGBTQI health, federal assistance programs, policy evaluation, health outcomes, and social determinants of health. She enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, running, and traveling.
