Alumnus Creates Scholarship to Benefit Non-Traditional Students

An alumnus and long-time donor to the department recently signed an agreement with the UNM Foundation to establish the ANTHONY L. DARMER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND IN ECONOMICS as part of his estate planning. The endowment agreement establishes a 2-year scholarship for rising sophomores and juniors majoring in Economics, or rising seniors who have been accepted into the shared-credit master’s degree program, with preference for non-traditional students. We are grateful to Mr. Darmer’s generosity and forethought for supporting students, especially those who find their way to college later in life.
